HPCO Current Volunteer Needs

HPCO is in need of people to fill the following positions and do the following tasks (most tasks require a once a week commitment—some jobs are short term depending on the task):

Once a Month Sunday Afternoon Bible Club
On the first Sunday of the month, we are offering an afternoon Sunday school program for our kids. It's a great way for families to get involved in one of our programs! We do a Bible lesson, Scripture memory, games and snack with the kids.

Jr/Sr High Discipleship
A time for our Jr/Sr High youth which involves fellowship, Bible study, and opportunities for discipleship. This program takes place each Thursday night from 6:30-8:30.

Kids for Change Day Camp
Day camp is offered to children between the ages of 6-11. It runs three days a week for six weeks during the summer. Day camp is free of charge to the kids in the community. We offer tutoring, recreation, arts and field trips during camp. At the end of the summer, we take the kids to an overnight camp for a week. This is a great way to get them out of the city and into the beauty of nature.

Super Saturdays
Each spring we offer a soccer and baseball clinic for two Saturdays in May (9th & 16th). There is an emphasis on learning skills and teamwork verses winning. We also teach them that God created them and that they can give Him glory through playing.

Boxes of Love
For Thanksgiving and Christmas, we are able to pass out food boxes to families in the Highland Park area. These boxes are put together by area churches and volunteers and include a turkey along with everything else needed for a full meal. At Christmas time, we also give out gifts to the children involved with our programs. This is an amazing opportunity for people to be a blessing to families in need during the holidays.

Administrative Support Team
We need a team of people who can help with tasks such as bookkeeping, volunteer coordination, databases, mailings, PR, and fundraising, etc.
